about

The hanter dro is a Breton dance where dancers link arms to form a chain. Hanter dro translates as ‘half circle’ – a reference to the sequence of steps; half as long as in the ‘an dro’ (full circle). According to Andy Letcher, The King’s Barrows is named after the passing scenery on the A303, when the tune came to him as he drove home from a gig.
